McDonald’s to give away McSkillet Burritos (Ciara helps)

CHICAGO — McDonald’s will offer a free McSkillet Burrito on Feb. 28 and 29 with purchase of a medium and large beverage, while supplies last at participating restaurants. McDonald’s projects that 1 million McSkillet Burritos will be given away each day of the two-day sampling event.

Made to order, the McSkillet Burrito combines scrambled eggs, sausage and skillet potatoes with a medley of cheeses, roasted red and green bell peppers, onions and salsa roja, all wrapped in a flour tortilla.

Customers in Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco can see special events and celebrity appearances throughout the promotion. On Feb. 28, singer Yolanda Perez will greet McDonald’s customers during the morning rush at a restaurant in Los Angeles. That same day, a radio station will have a live remote at a McDonald’s restaurant in San Francisco. On Feb. 29, customers can meet Grammy-award winner Ciara when she goes behind the counter at a McDonald’s in downtown Chicago.

Ciara and Bow Wow Split

R&B star Ciara and her rapper boyfriend Bow Wow have ended their one year relationship. The couple, who collaborated on the hit single "Like You," were found out to have separated after Bow Wow was seen romancing another woman in Los Angeles earlier this month . A spokesperson for the 20-year-old Ciara says, "I cannot comment on the reason, but can confirm that Ciara and Bow Wow have split." Bow Wow, 19, adds, "Ciara and I have parted ways. I wish her all the best." The couple were rumored to have been engaged after Ciara was regularly seen wearing a large diamond on the ring finger on her left hand to public engagements.

Name is pronounced like "Sierra." She originally wanted to become a model, before starting her music career. Is of Creole, German and Irish heritage. Used to be a cheerleader in high school. Her father was a military man. She joined a girl group called Hearsay that performed in Atlanta, but it was short-lived. Her mother was in the air force. She is good friends with Bow Wow. One day she saw Destiny's Child perform on TV and decided that that was what she was going to do. She has also lived in Germany, New York, California, Arizona and Nevada. Lil' Jon produced her debut single, "Goodies". Her album Goodies was a sales success, thanks to her many collaborations with stars like Ludacris, Missy Elliott and R. Kelly. Graduated from Riverdale High School in Atlanta in 2003. She co-wrote her song "Goodies". Friends with Missy 'Misdemeanor' Elliott. Was accompanied by Bow Wow to the MTV Video Music Awards in 2005. Wrote her song "And I" when she was 15. Named #35 on the Maxim magazine Hot 100 of 2005 list.
